Day 1 Arrive Beijing
Upon arrival, you are escorted in to your luxury Five-Star Hotel.
Day 2 Beijing
This morning, you will visit the architecturally exquisite Temple of Heaven to see locals at morning exercise and experience this remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site.See the Imperial Vault of Heaven with its Echo Wall and the Nine-Dragon Cypress, more than 500 years old. Tour Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City's treasure-filled ImperialPalace with a tour of the living quarters, museum, and jewelry sections.Tonight, you are invited to a Beijing Duck dinner party.

Day 3 Beijing
A full day excursion takes you to the awesome Great Wall, where you may walk atop the ancient ramparts. After lunch, visit a cloisonn谷 factory and see skilled artisans at work.Then stroll along the Sacred Way, lined with statues of warriors and mythical beasts, to the medieval Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall.You will drive by the Beijing National Stadium, known as the Bird's Nest, which hosted the major events of the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Day 4 Beijing/Xi'an
This morning is at leisure. Perhaps shop for local bargains at the ladies Market, a five minute walk from the hotel, which also houses the city's largest flower market.This afternoon, fly to Xi'an, site of archeological wonders. This evening, you are our guest at the Tang Dynasty Theatre's celebrated dinner show.

Day 5 Xi'an
A thrillingday as you view the famous 2200-year old life-sized terra-cotta warriors discovered in the first emperor's tomb, the Circle Vision Movie, the Bronze Chariot. Lunch at the Friendship Restaurant with a noodle-making demonstration.Visit the exquisitely constructed Small Wild Goose pagoda and the Xi'an History Museum.Tonight, enjoy a buffet dinner at the hotel.

Day 6 Xi'an/Lhasa,Tibet
This morning, fly to Lhasa, mountainous capital of Tibet where you will be greeted at the airport with a traditional Tibetan welcome ceremony* The rest of the day is free to adjust to the altitude of one of the world's highest plateaus-about 12,000 ft. above sea level. Dinner at the hotel

Day 7 Lhasa
An extraordinary day of sightseeing shows Norbulingka, summer palace, built by the seventh Dalai Lama in the 18th century. Then, visit scenic Drepung Monastery, once home to 10,000 Lamas. Alternatively, at Sera Monastery to see groups of red-robed young monks debate Buddhist doctrines in lively traditional style.

Day 8 Lhasa
You will not soon forget the spectacular architecture at the world famous PotalaPalace. Former living quarters of the Dalai Lama, its massive 1,000 room structure towers over this mountain city. Continue on to visit the famous Barkhor Market where you may shop for Tibetan items.See one of Tibet's holiest shrines, revered 7th century JokhangTemple, where pilgrims come to worship before the statue of the Sakyamuni Buddha, lavishly enthroned in gold. This evening, enjoy a memorable Tibetan dinner and show where you will be welcomed with a performance of a traditional Tibetan Yak Dance*

Day 9 Lhasa/Chongqing*
This morning, fly to Chongqing. Sightsee this mountainside city, where neighborhoods rise in tiers along the steep riverbank above the Yangtze. Visit the StillwellMuseum where memorabilia from the Flying Tigers, American pilots who volunteered to aid China in World War II before Pearl Harbor, is on view. See the Giant Pandas at the Chongqing Zoo. Board the Victoria Five-Star ship to begin your memorable cruise.

Day 10 Yangtze Cruise:Fengdu
At Fengdu, a shore excursion shows Mingshan Hill's unique temples, with statues of ghosts and devils.

Day 11 Yangtze Cruise:Qutang Gorge/Small Gorges Excursions/Wu Gorge/Xiling Gorge
.An exciting day begins as you cruise through the first of the fabled Three Gorges:Qutang Gorge hemmed by mossy cliffs. Arriving at Wushan, transfer to a cruiser for an excursion up the DaningRiver to view the breathtaking Small Gorges. Continue by sampanthe picturesque mini-gorges of the Ma Du River with its clear, swift waters and unusual rock formations. Alternatively, your excursion may be on Shennong Stream, with its equally spectacular small gorges. Rejoin your cruise ship and sail on through Wu Gorge, the last and most scenic gorge. Finally, you sail through the Three Gorges ship locks

Day 12 Yangtze Cruise:Yichang to Shanghai*
This morning, visit the historic Three Gorges Dam at San Dou Ping, the world's largest hydroelectric project. At Yichang, disembark and board your flight to Shanghai.

Day 13 Shanghai
