Today’s full-day tour visits vast Tiananmen Square, the Imperial Palace in the once Forbidden City, and the exquisite Summer Palace with a boat ride on Lake Kunming (weather permitting). MEALS: American Breakfast, Lunch
DAY 4 ? Thursday ? Beijing
Today, experience a highlight of your tour as you walk the ancient ramparts of the astonishing Great Wall. After lunch, visit a cloisonné factory to watch the skilled artisans create their intricate designs. Then stroll along the Sacred Way to the Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall. DAY 5 ? Friday ? Beijing/Chongqing

DAY 6 ? Saturday ? Yangtze Cruise: Fengdu*
At Fengdu, a shore excursion shows Mingshan Hill’s unique temples, with statues of ghosts and devils. MEALS: American Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner *Alternate shore excursion may visit Shibaozhai or Wanzhou.
Cruise through the first of the fabled Three Gorges: Qutang Gorge, hemmed by mossy cliffs. At Wushan, an excursion takes you up the Daning River to view the famed Small Gorges. Continue by sampan to the picturesque mini-gorges of the Ma Du River. Alternatively, your excursion may be on Shennong Stream with its impressive small gorges. Sail on through Wu Gorge, celebrated for its Twelve Peaks. Cruise through Xiling Gorge, most scenic of all the gorges. Finally, sail through the Three Gorges ship lock. DAY 8 ? Monday ? Yangtze Cruise: Xiling Gorge/San Dou Ping/Yichang to Shanghai*
Morning visit to the Three Gorges Dam site. Continue on to Yichang where you disembark from your ship and transfer for your flight to Shanghai. Hua Ting Hotel & Towers MEALS: American Breakfast, Lunch *If direct flight is not available, travel by motorcoach to Wuhan and fly to Shanghai.
