Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to the hotel. Hua Ting Hotel & Towers
DAY 3 ? Saturday/Sunday ? Shanghai
Visit the Shanghai Museum with its remarkable dynastic cultural artifacts exhibits, the lovely Yu Garden, the fabled European-styled Bund, traditional emporiums on Nanjing or modern shops on Huai Hai Road, the famous Shanghai carpet factory, and then stop at the Children’s Palace. MEALS: American Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
DAY 4 ? Sunday/Monday ? Shanghai/Yichang*
Morning at leisure in Shanghai. Later fly to Yichang where you board the Victoria Star or Victoria Empress cruise ship to begin your up-stream cruise. Board Victoria Cruises’ Victoria Star or Victoria Empress MEALS: American Breakfast, Dinner *If direct flight is not available, fly to Wuhan and travel by motorcoach on to Yichang.
DAY 5 ? Monday/Tuesday ? Yangtze Cruise: San Dou Ping/Xiling Gorge
Stop at San Dou Ping to see the amazing progress construction at the Three Gorges Dam, the largest hydroelectric project in the world. Sail through the dramatic Three Gorges ship lock before continuing through Xiling Gorge, longest of the famed Three Gorges. MEALS: American Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
This morning, marvel at Wu Gorge’s deep zigzagging valley. At Wushan, a cruiser takes you for an excursion up the Daning River’s renowned Small Gorges–Dragon Gate, Misty or Emerald. Continue by sampan to the picturesque mini-gorges of the Ma Du River with its clear, swift running water, unusual rock formations, and monkeys and goats along the banks. Depending on the water level of the Yangtze River, your excursion may be on Shennong Stream with its equally spectacular small gorges. Depart Wushan, passing through dramatic Qutang Gorge, with steep mossy cliffs that crowd the sky. MEALS: American Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
DAY 7 ? Wednesday/Thursday ? Yangtze Cruise: Fengdu*
At Fengdu, a shore excursion shows Mingshan Hill’s unique temples, with statues of ghosts and devils. MEALS: American Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner *Alternate shore excursion may visit Shibaozhai or Wanzhou.
DAY 8 ? Thursday/Friday ? Yangtze Cruise: Chongqing/Xi’an
Disembark in Chongqing. Visit the Stilwell Museum where you will see an intriguing collection of World War II memor-abilia of the famed Flying Tigers. Fly to historic Xi’an. Ginwa Plaza Hotel Xi’an MEALS: American Breakfast, Dinner

Today tour the Great Wall, one of the most amazing feats of mankind. Walk along the ancient ramparts, admiring views of the Wall winding across the mountains. Stroll along the Sacred Way, lined with statues of warriors and mythical beasts, to the Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall.
